A match gun is built in stages
A competition Glock is not one purchase. It starts with a long slide, because a G34 Gen5 MOS gives a 5.31-inch barrel and a 7.52-inch sight radius on the same frame as a G17, and a G17L stretches that to a 6.02-inch barrel and an 8.07-inch sight radius. From there the order barely changes: cut the slide or fit a plate for the dot, then the trigger, then the barrel, then the magwell and basepads that decide how fast a reload lands. The rules matter as much as the parts. USPSA Carry Optics caps the whole pistol at 59 ounces with the optic and an empty magazine, requires the dot to sit on the slide, bars compensators and barrel porting, and gauges every magazine at 141.25 mm including the basepad.
